Minutes of the First Quarter Board Meeting held on January 17, 2009

President Bill Hutchens called the meeting to order at 10:35.

Present were Bill Hutchens, Pete Chehayl, Ron Howard, Amy Howard, Elizabeth Newton, Chris Branston, Marc Woontner, Bonnie Woontner, Gary Karnes, Elly Bloksma, and Hendrik Bloksma.

Absent were Carla Boggess, Johnny Harris, and Richard Newton.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved as written.

Treasurer Pete Chehayl reported a balance of $7623.41.

New Business:

1. The Board authorized $500 to be allocated for the website.

2. Bill Hutchens made a motion, which was seconded by Ron Howard to explore and implement advertising on the blog. The motion passed unanimously.

3. Elizabeth Newton made a motion to change the bank account signature cards to the names of the required newly elected officers. The motion was seconded by Marc Woontner and passed unanimously.

4. Ron Howard is exploring the cost and feasibility of ordering decals with the Everglades Region
Logo.

5. Marc Woontner is exploring the cost and feasibility of ordering car badges with the Everglades
Region Logo.

6. Ron Howard is exploring the possibility of an event sponsored by Rock Ruby of Ruby’s Rods.

January

Marc and Bonnie Woontner are hosting a potluck on January 24, 2009.

February

Cars on Fifth…February 14, 2009
Breakfast Club will be held on February 21, 2009.
Steven and Faith Wassersug are hosting a potluck on February 21, 2009.

March

Everglades PCA Day at Homestead with Chin Motorsports on March 8, 2009.
Breakfast Club on March 14, 2009.
Ron and Amy Howard are hosting a potluck on March 28, 2009.

April

Breakfast Club on April 11, 2009.
Sweet Liberty Cruise on Saturday April 25, 2009. Bill Hutchens will get the information for this activity.

May

Chris Branston is in the process of organizing another rally for May. He is also organizing a clay pigeon shoot at the Port of the Islands.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 a.m.
